The Merrimack Valley Planning Commission (MVPC) is a regional planning agency providing professional planning services to fifteen communities in Northeastern Massachusetts. MVPC is one of thirteen regional planning agencies operating in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Communities of the MVPC region elect one Commissioner and one Alternate to attend monthly board meetings held at MVPC offices. The Commission meeting is a public forum where results of current projects, proposed new projects, and MVPC monthly expenses are discussed in detail. MVPC is a public, nonprofit organization committed to assisting the Valley's communities in the planning areas of transportation, the environment, land use, economic development, and GIS mapping.
