Coordinated Public Transit - Human Services Transportation Plan

The Coordinated Plan identifies the region's transportation needs and priorities related to the Jobs Access and Reverse Commute (JARC) and New Freedom federal funding programs with the intent of improving the quality of transportation for the elderly, disabled persons, welfare recipients, low-income persons and people doing reverse commutes by asessing their transportation needs, minimizing the duplicatin of services and achieving cost efficiencies. Eligible agencies and organizations may apply for the two grant programs.
- The New Freedom grant program aims to provide additonal tools to overcome existing barriers facing Americans with disabilities seeking integration into the work force and full partiicipation in society by expanding the transportation mobility options available beyond the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
