Connecting People and Places

The Merrimack Valley is fortunate to have a wide range of assets including people, businesses, open space, historic and cultural heritage, and more. A strong and cohesive transportation network is essential to the economic vitality and livability of our region. People need to get to places via a variety of modes including automobile, rail, bus, bicycle, walking and air transportation. The Merrimack Valley Planning Commission plays a pivotal role in shaping the transportation network in the Valley and works with our 15 communities to create a safe and dependable system.
